Standalone application redesign

Hello, Octane has been on the market since 2011 and still uses the same interface almost 10 years. Most apps for designers go over interface redesign from time to time to make it look modern and usable. Here is my proposal for interface redesign of Octane Standalone app that would make it look modern and a bit usable. A search function for nodes would also be welcome.

That's a waste of space. Keep it as it is. Nice and tight with a great overview.

Everything can be scalable like it is now.

Yea i don't really think a UX/UI redesign is really what Octane Standalone needs to be usable. The whole app needs to be redesigned and reprogrammed to have some basic functions. Up until recently you couldn't even add a light without a script. Octane is really only usable if you use a plugin.

Personally, I like that, very modern, clean and crisp.

I really wish they would introduce thumbnail previews for .ocs and .orbx scenes in Windows - it's a ******* nightmare trying to work out what scene is what without opening the scene and statrting a render...

I hope the thumbnail for local DB materials can be bigger like that in the Live DB, they are too small.

I like the design you made. Working with a plugin here so can't tell about usability of the stand alone. But I like the mock up.
