Hi,

I was following Steve Knipping Volumes 3 tutorial about colored smoke. Is it possible to render colored smoke in Octane 2019, or will It be possible in Octane 2020?
I saw that it is possible to render in Redshift. Can we do something similar in Octane? A also download a scene made by Juanjo that He found a solution to render it in Redshift.

Thanks,

Saulo

Hi,

Sorry, I can be wrong, but I think that Octane doesn't support the direct rendering of colored grids. It supports the coloring of the volume from an OSL shader for procedural like effects, but I doubt that you could get the voxel information from a colored grid from OSL.

Thanks,
