Code: Select all

A. Windows 10, 1903
B. 2xRTX 2080 (rendering), GTX 980 Ti (display)
C. 8 GB VRAM
D. Nvidia game ready driver 440.97
E. OctaneRender Standalone 2019.1.5 and 2020.1 XB3
F. OctaneRender plugin 2019.1.5 and 2020.1 XB3
G. Cinema R21.115
When Viewport rendering is enabled and "Start Octane Render" command has been assigned a shortcut pressing that shortcut starts both Viewport and Live viewer rendering.

Here is the screencast with the issue:
shortcut issues_Trim.mp4
(3.5 MiB) Downloaded 3361 times
At the beginning I start the rendering using Icon, then later I start rendering using Shortcut and then Live window appears too.

Another issue is that when the rendering is stopped it takes some time to display OpenGL viewport again. Clicking on it usually helps.

It may require some pick to force updates. Other thing is not a BUG, it's how that works. Viewport rendering needs to keep LV open.

What about the shortcut issue? It doesn't behave as expected.

There's not any issue to me. As I said that viewport rendering needs to have LV open. LV manages the rendering and just print outs the results to viewport.

It's an issue to me because the function behaves differently when I press button and differently when I use shortcut. Why it is so different?

Here are steps to reproduce:

1. Enable Viewport rendering in Octane render options menu.
2. Open Customize Commands window and find "Start Octane Render".
3. Assign a shortcut to it.
4. Start render pressing Icon "Send your scene and Restart new render" > Rendering starts in viewport. < correct behaviour
5. Stop render.
6 Press assigned shortcut in step 3.
7. Live viewer window opens with black background and below viewport rendering starts. < incorrect behaviour

Still the same in 2020 plugin.
Shortcut opens LV window when starting viewport render.

Hi, I am having this exact behavior when using an assigned shortcut. C4D 23 running Octane X PR 11 on macOSX 11.5.2
Is there a fix or solution for this issue?
Thanks.
