Strange Shadow Catcher behavior

Hello Paul,

I've a strange result if I try to use a Shadow catcher flag on Universal material or matte flag on diffuse one. The shadow look completely different to the one, that I get in MODO's render shadow catcher or if I'm going to turn matte flag off. Up to it, I have no chance to affect on shadows, received by my floor plane with Octane Mesh Light pass mask if I have matte checkbox enabled. Even if I disable all the Octane Mesh Light pass check boxes for my shadow catching plane nothing changes. Right after I turn shadow catching off all light passes are working properly. Any suggestions?

I don't fully understand your question - sorry. However it appears to be a general Octane question rather than specific to the plugin, so I recommend posting it in the Octane Standalone forum.
