OBJ Export with Octane Materials?

Hi, I've been experimenting with exporting animations into Marvelous designer for the fabric simulation and then reimporting it back as an obj sequence. However, I can't seem to get Octane to export any materials along with the obj. Is this possible to do?

Thanks

Hey Paul, thanks for the reply. Attached is my OBJ Export Options window for the settings I normally use.

Hi - if you want to export a scene with Octane Materials, you need to export to OCS or ORBX via the plugin System tab.

Thanks

Hi tapanojum ,

I guess what probably you are looking for is to bake the Octane material (as Octane material definition are proprietary to Otoy) and then export the baked texture with the Obj. OCS / ORBX are only readable by Octane and will not work with Marvelous designer.

Why don't you save your Octane Material with the Daz Save As Material option (It save the Daz Material and the underlying Octane Material) ? And then when you re-import the sequence from Marvelous Designer, apply the Material again ? Not sure if this will help.
