Gradient problem

Hello,

I am using Houdini 17.5.391 on Windows 7 and Octane 2019.1.2.
I am unable to control the contrast of an image or procedural noise using Octane's gradient node. I can change the colors though, but moving gradient points does nothing at all.

Here is the videoshowing the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z8f9bivx50acn ... m.mp4?dl=0

Is it a bug or am I doing anything wrong?

There is a known limitation that can be related to this behavior. The problem is that the Octane gradient node always must have keys at the start and end points. You can add additional keys to control de gradient, but it must have the first and last keys always in the extreme positions, at 0.0 and 1.0.

I'll try to fix this limitation in one of the upcoming builds.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Thank you very much for the fast reply. Got it working by adding additional gradient points.

Best wishes,
Dima
