Strange texture problem

Hello,
I have a 3d model of a sculpture coming from a 3d Scanner together with the material texture.
The model come in Obj format.

If I load the model in Lightwave everything goes well and the texture is perfectly applied.
If I turn in to an Octane setup and I apply a simple diffuse material with the texture applied everything becomes black.
The model seems a matte black
I tried all possible solutions:

If I load a different image on the model it works...
The texture comes in jpeg, I tried to check in Photoshop if there was something wrong, I converted the file in different formats and no way...it looks black (in Octane)
I opened the model in Modo and Blender and it works (native render and vray)
In lightwave works well with native render
In octane works well but when I turn the texture its full black..I tried to scale the model, to pump up gamma etc no way..
What could be the issue??

Thx

I have installed Octane for Modo demo and there the texture works fine...

The model comes without Vertex Map...

Seems there is something in the texture file "no good" for octane in lw... and photoshop keeps it when saves it in other formats too.
Try to save the texture in a different program, like XnView. Maybe this doesn't resolve, but it is a fast try... (To me usually XnView resolves the rare problems of the image files, like some png (1 every 2000) saved from octane but corrupted only for AE: I load and save in that viewer, apparently nothing changed, but it "delete" the error for AE).

If you want to send the model and the texture I could take a look at it. Perhaps the UV map name has spaces or not valid characters for the LightWave plugin, but it is hard to say what could be the problem without the object.

Thanks,

Please, rename the texture file name. The original file name has a non-standard ASCII character and perhaps the LightWave plugin has problems with it, like happens with the material names.

Thanks,

Any, don't use special characters in texture file name, surface names or UV map names, Basically do not use special characters anywhere in model/textures and it should be good.
