180 deg render with octane and UE4

Hi,
I'm shopping around for a solution. Right now we are using, in UE4.22 the Scene capture system (5 capture cameras) blending into one 180 deg dome.
we are unsatisfied with this solution since particles go not work seamlessly from one cap camera to the next.

would Octane allow us to create a one camera 180 (semi-sphere) render with realistic lens distortion, and not linear pinched in the center.
if yes, would particles work with this? We are working on large outdoor landscape environments, clouds, fog, shadows, foliage...

You can setup the camera, I use it for 360. You'll need to re setup the fog. Landscape are not supported yet and nor are particles. Why not use ansel?

Ansel, right, I forgot about that. I believe Ansel is for photography (snapshots). We are making a movie. I will see if it can be used with sequencer.

Octane supports 180 deg with realistic lens distortion.
- Create rendertarget and select it
- Change camera type from "thin lens camera" to "panoramic camera"
- change "Horizontal field of view" to 180

It should work with sequencer.
