Hi Paride,
Do you know if octane scatters foam, splash as instances.
When I render 150k foam particles I use 3.6gb of vram,
2.8 mil foam particles I use 6 gb of vram

over 4-5 mil I get GPU failure or 3ds max just closes.

I thought instanced geometry should not eat all vram. How are we supposed to render over 4-5 mil particles? Can otoy look into it and make a shader instead or better instancing so we have low vram usage.

Plus a foam particle is a very simple sphere just 6 sides. It looks like octane uses COPY mode not INSTANCE clogging vram

Thank you

Hi coilbook,
I don't know how Octaneparticle WSM works, I'm sending to developers my report testing Octane istance tool.
