Rendering POINTCLOUDS

Hi,
i'd like to render some pointclouds (.las, .ply, .e57) inside c4dr21with octane (any version: 4 / 2018 / 2019)
i was searching the forum and some people talk about convert pointclouds to alembic data??

I'm totally lost in this workflow..
Is there anyone who has achieved it?
Can you show me the way?
