The nature of crashes

Hi there,

I would like to understand why my scene is crashing so often. It runs ok in LV then suddenly stops and get an error message, Redner Failure.

Sometimes LC works. I pause it to send it to render ->render to pic viewer-> C4D hangs for a while, looks like it works, but then I get the Bug report pop up window. -> restart C4D-> load scene-> Render to pic viewer-> it renders.

It is very random. Please advise me what I do wrong or what is the nature of those crashes.

mobo: MSI x99A xPower AC
CPU: i5939k
ram 32gb
GPU: 3x 980TI

Win 10 latest update
Octane 2019.1 Studio
Nvidia driver: latest

Link to wetransfer:

https://wetransfer.com/downloads/d27886 ... 923/d64806

It has the textures and the scene zipped.

Thanks!

Misi

You're one of many others who use LATEST 436.xx probably. Do not use game-ready drivers, USE NVIDIA STUDIO drivers. Latest GAME-READY drivers give RANDOM crashes.

Does 980 ti has studio drivers? When I went on Nvidia site exactly for that reason it said that there is no driver for this card.

Suggestions?

It's not a BUG for c4d plugin and me.

Yeah, I understand this, but I had to process this to figure out the nature of the crashes.

430.86 is stable.

We can't provide stability on unstable systems. Please stay with which driver is stable for Octane and you.
