Hi,
Is there any news on supporting USD and Hydra in octane since Houdini just announced major support for it via Solaris.
I did see a slide in a recent octane presentation by Jules that mentioned usd and there was also a twitter post a while back.

I’m just curious about it because I’m a Houdini user.
Regards
Rohan

A robust Octane-Hydra delegate will raise lots of interest in the industry.
Tight Integration in the pipeline of any good company is a must for having access to jucy projects in this krzy Vfx world... USD/Solaris could be the solution and an open door to a much bigger market.
Just saw the Renderman 22 Houdini presentation and at my company everyone is pretty excited...even though its still early days... show your cards, Octane is awesome and a few demos will start the buzz.
Don't miss the boat guys!

So with Houdini 18 around the corner, and sidefx seemingly really pushing to get people to use Solaris/USD, what the hopeful time frame of getting octane in there too?
Is it planed for 2019.2 ? or are we talking late 2020? (would be really sad, but I understand things take time).
I'm just curious, really excited about H18 but it would suck not having octane too

Is there an update on this?
It would great to package a load of Octane Materials into a USD file and send it across for other people to edit the file.
