Need help with images rendering almost black

So for some reason Octane is rendering everything almost completely black.
I tried the demo, and things seemed to work find. Then bought the subscription and things went sideways. I blasted the cache, reset working units, tried to build my own scene and used the demo scenes.
They all still come out this same color of black. I had to set the lights to 500000 just to light up something 2 meters away... dimly.
Anyone got any idea?
