VDB instancing - Artefacts

Hi

I was experimenting with tiling a .VDB volume to see if it was possible to make a cloudscape using VDBs inside Octane for MODO.

Imported a single .orbx proxy to a mesh, replicated it using a particle generator, changed scattering and resolution inside the "edit proxy", and made a test rendering
VDBTiling.png
Really bad artefacts in the intersection of the VDB replicas

Tried different volume resolutions. Same thing.

Is there any workaround or it's a limitation?

Thanks for any help

Driver version 417.22

Hi - may I suggest exporting the scene to Octane Standalone, and if the problem happens there too, submit the scene to OTOY in the Octane Standalone thread where they can investigate.

Thank you for your help

Just a quick update. I made more tests with different resolutions and settings. This was the result
Before VDB intersection
Before VDB intersection
After VDB Intersection
After VDB Intersection
Exported to Standalone, same issue.

Will submit a request to Standalone team as suggested.

Thanks
