Network Rendering from a Dell XPS without ethernet port?

I recently got a new Dell Xps 15 9570, its a great computer and works fine with my egpu with a thunderbolt connection. But now im planning to setup my desktop and use it for network rendering. only problem is that the notebook doesnt have
an ethernet port. Ive been looking at adapter both usb 3 and usb c to ethernet, but the speeds are 1000 mbs, would this be sufficient? My scenes are not that texture heavy. Optimal would be to use one of the usb 3 ports, so I still can utilize the egpu.
Thanks in advance
