Hi All, i would if you can help i currently have in my pc a 1060 that drives all my screens i have 2 4K screens and one 1080p screen but all drive off one 1060, i also have a RTX 2070 thats dedicated for octane and rendering but my problem is i should have full 8GB memory but for some reason octane is only showing 5.7GB this is a brand new scene with nothing in it is this normal?

From what i see there It is showing 660MB used and 5.44 GB free which total is 6.1 GB , Windows 10/8.1 "steal" i.e. reserve lot of VRAM for something internally so you will miss full capacity of GPU every time sadly. Check the forums for that common issue since few years back.

Although with 8GB GPUs it should steal a bit less, aroudn 1.3-1,4GB since on On 12GB GPUs it steals (reserves) 2.2 GB .

Sadly but no, all GPUs in system will be having less available VRAM in win10, 8.1 due how windows set it to work :/
