Remote desktop

Hello,

I'm hoping for some advice, I need to access a PC using something like Remote desktop, but I've read that this can stop all but one GPU being used (the target PC has 4). Is there a recommended app that plays well with octane?

Thank you
AK

Hi,
I use both TeamViewer and Splashtop, and are working well for remote rendering, even via iPad.

Well I use Remote desktop and just tested it. My remote system uses both GPUS in both LV and during an actual render.

I grabbed a screen shot of the LV panel and checked the second system with GPU-Z as it was rendering and both GPUS had a nearly full load on them.

Have you tested it yourself?

Also, I've used Teamviewer, too.

I've never heard of this issue and have never run into this issue while using Splashtop. So I can at least confirm that software isn't an issue.

I think that point's been made. Bepeg4D already said Teamviewer and Splashtop work fine. The OP's question was specifically about Windows built-in Remote Desktop software stopping all but one of the remote GPUS from being used.

But it's not true, at least in my experience.
