Octane + Rhino?

Octane looks like it would be a great rendering engine for jewelry. I grabbed the demo version, but I am at a loss as to how to get started.
Is there a tutorial PDF somewhere that shows the basics?
Regards,
Ken

Hi,
Just watch the tutorial videos on our site for getting started.
There's also a thread with rhino export settings here:
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... hino#p6887
We currently supply our PDF manual only with commercial versions to licensed customers.
Maybe we add it to the demo version soon, we're still deciding on that.

here's a copy of the settings to export to OBJ:
Try with this:
save objects as: Polygon Mesh
Save surface trim curves as: Polylines
End-of-line characters: unix
Significant digits: 16
Export mesh texture coordinates: yes
Export mesh vertex normals: yes
Export material definitions: yes
Y-Up: yes
Write Unwelded Mesh: no
Try those...
When you've exported the OBJ file, use one of our tutorial / demo videos to see how to use octane,
they explain pretty much everything you need to know.

My guess is that you had intended to post that here Radiance?

btw,
from reberts2:
Here is a some good guidance on using an updated OBJ plug-in from McNeel to create OBJ files with seperate meshes etc.
The version that ships with Rhino 4 does not support some needed operations, so load the new plug-in first.
