Can anyone help with this?

This is a fresh install, so everything is up to date, all drivers, c4d versions etc.

OctaneRender Studio 4.00 (4000021)

CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
-> failed to download symbol(stats data)
device 0: path tracing kernel failed
CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
-> failed to unload module
CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
-> failed to create link
device 0: failed to create OSL compile context:

device 0: failed to compile module 0
CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
-> failed to destroy CUDA event

any advice? Thanks!!

Hi,
try with v4.01.1-R2, and check to have a clean installation of the latest stable Nvidia drivers.

Turns out it was a defective card
