Hello everyone,
is my first official post in this forum, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful adventure.
I apologize, my English is not good.

only today I managed to play with a little octane rendering more seriously, I regret that now I only have one 8800GT, I hope soon to replace it with a GTX480 (or 470).

I found it very difficult to do this exercise every time you exported from 3DsMAX2010 saw everything cvon a single material.
I have done many tests, even with the recommended export settings, I think the problem is some parameter Mentalray.
In the end I got him to recognize the different materials.

Only now I realize the contest. not have much time, lately I've been a lot of work, but I hope to bring the best things in this project to use it for the contest.
I'm glad to know that there is a new version soon. In this exercise, the lack of clipmap is very important.
eventually I hope to use both clipmap and bump.
I am pleased with eyelashes, with a picture seems to have cropped the polygons of the lashes.
imperfections are gone soon. shame for the white spots but I have to build many more details and textures.

would be funny to make a contest within the contest, where is the tattoo of octane?

I hope to continue the exercise soon.

hello world

Great skin texture. Hair looks a little thick, but I've seen plenty of real hair styles trying to get that same look. Again, the skin is amazing. Good job. I also use a 8800gt and am waiting for the new cards eagerly.

Great work! I love how Madame is rendered with nice skin tone.
I was wondering if you could break down how many maps you use for rendering this.
Texture map and specular map? It would would pretty sweet if Octane supports SSS,
that would make her even more impressive.

Where is the tattoo you mentioned? Can't find it.
One tiny suggestion, if there could be more variation of shadows to help the composition/ layout,
so the photo itself and more dramatic essence, to convey certain emotion or personality,
that would be something I would love to see.

best,
Thomas

Thanks to all,
have already made a few changes, less hair, more rounded and the texture of the face with less makeup.
prox beta and expected to find mostly a bit of time to dedicate to put some object more to the scene.

(ola, grazie Tiziano.... bello vederti da queste parti)

You should put Nudity Warning in the title. It will attract a lot more visitors. :D Great work.
