Octane Multi-pass with Hdri Background

I'm trying to render a multi-pass exr file from Octane in C4D, but it seems that Octane doesn't include the HDRI background (which I would like to be visible in the final image) as part of any of the multi-pass layers. I can turn on environment for one of the passes, but this just renders the whole environment without any of my objects in the foreground, which isn't useful for combing the passes later. Is there something I'm missing here?
Another quick question that I'd love to get an answer on: I'm using the AI Denoiser in Octane 4, and I have shots that involve refraction, but the AI denoiser passes don't offer an option to include refractions. I turn on refraction in the non-denoised passes, but this gives me a noisy pass and combining it with the other denoised passes doesn't exactly match the original image. Any way to fix this?
