problem setting up octane 4

Hello,
I've downloaded and installed octane 4, yet when I open up c4d I receive this message saying I don't have a licence (I've linked a pic below).
I have a full licence (Standalone & cinema 4d). It works perfectly with octane 3 when I set it up instead.
how do I fix this?
or is octane 4 a non subscription release?
if so, is it possible to change my licence to a subscription without paying again (since I've payed full price already).
