lIGHT FAILED TO START

hello,
im trying to test 4.0 lightwave version plugin, wne I enable the plugin I have no problems,
Ipr runs well but when I try to add or switch a light in to an octane light it doesn't work...
I have this message. Plug-in Octane_Light failed to start...

What could be the problem? I removed old v3 plugin but I still have octane 3 stand alone (together with 4) ...
I have to say that v4 standalone doesn't have an installer so I just copied the folder in my programs/Otoy folder...
thx

The Octane Standalone is not the problem for sure. You must be sure that you have removed the Octane 3 plugin from your HD (or at least that you don't have it installed in LightWave at the same time that Octane 4).

I think that you must try to install Octane 4 again, adding the plugin to the Layout once you have checked that the Octane Master plugin is no running (CTRL+q) and the Octane 3 plugin is not installed.

Thanks,

Hi,

Are you sure that you are installing the right plugin version for your LightWave version? Also be aware that if you are working with LW2018, you need to install at least the 2018.0.6 build to work with the plugin.

Can you please attach a screen grab of your Octane plugin "About" window to check your installed version?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Thanks J.
Cleaning everything and reistalling fixed the issue.
