Competition with Redshift

Don't get me wrong, i'm team Octane all the way. I've loved the software since 2015 when I started using it and it's been great seeing it evolve, but with the recent swarm of people switching to Redshift, i'm not seeing a lot being done from Otoy to stay in the run.
I personally tried Redshift and as much as I hate to admit, it does feel more like a finished product, more premium per se and I wonder why Otoy doesn't invest in resources to stay in the competition.
And by the way, Aoktar, you have made a terrific job with the C4D plugin, honestly, I truly appreciate and admire what you do. I'm just curious about what everyone thinks about this subject.
I mean, just the fact that we have to dig through a forum for updates feels backwards to me. Redshift's UI/UX design feels overall more finessed and thought out with designed icons that are cohesive with branding, and the render view feels a bit more integrated with C4D's.
PS: not trying to start a heated discussion on this, just a conversation and some clarification. Maybe Otoy is focusing on something I'm not aware of (other than RNDR token)
