Hello,
I'm interested in trying out OctaneRender for Blender, so I've installed Standalone, BlenderOctane, and OctaneServer Demo.
Standalone seems to work, it launches, but I don't have any scenes to test right now, because BlenderOctane won't render. "License Expired" it shows. I've downloaded test scenes, opened a few, but preview window is grey n nothing renders.
OctaneServer should be launched first, I know, but login window never popped up. The .exe process seems to be working in the background, but whatever I've done, left click on the icon does nothing, and right click closes it...
What I've tried so far:
- McAfee AV n firewall exceptions added manually cause warnings never popped up
- McAfee was turned off completely
- firewall on the router was checked for TCP 443 and its opened
- windows 7 pro x64 is up to date
- nvidia n network drivers updated
- running octaneserver with administrator privileges
- was not using a proxy at the time, but I've turned off virtual card anyway
- reinstalled all the octane apps twice in between and checked the file structure every time
- so I've checked the system registry for some quirk entries, but it seems alright

and I'm running out of ideas at this point.
Well.. you're not required to have chrome browser installed for the login window to pop up right (cause I've seen even sth like this)?
Cause that's all I have...

Specs:
Win7 Pro x64 with all the updates
Intel E5820k @ 4,2Ghz on X99 GamingPro Carbon with 32 GB of DDR4
2x NV 1080ti Waterforce
SSD 256gb x2
latest drivers on everything as of today, 8.11.18

help, please... Octane looks soooo promising...

Hey man,

Did you get this issue fixed in the end? I'm having the same problem. Icon disappears and the Octane render engine isn't anywhere to be seen in the Octane version of Blender.

I've even done a full system format, and installed it on fresh, totally clean config. No antivirus, nothing totally necessary. Still the same...
I'm thinking win7? Particular config on x99? But those two I probably won't change this year, so I'm still rendering with Cycles...
I'll try another network connection this month, but I truly don't think that's the issue...

ARg, it's my fault. I have to use the Blender Octane Version to get everything right. Problem solve.
