Live Viewer and Render getting different results, missing ob

I have octane area lights and lighting that visible in the live viewer but not in renders. The lights are in a cloner (octane tag added) and the most surprising part is they're not visible when removed from the cloner either). I saw a few similar posts but they were old enough that the solutions were not really compatible.
I went as far as to paste the scene in a new file and it still didn't work. I'm at the end of my rope here with a deadline fast approaching, please, any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
it seems that the light is overlapping the floor, try to slightly move it down a bit.
ciao Beppe

*facepalm*
You're absolutely correct, this IS the problem.
But why would it display them in the live viewer and not renders?
thank you for the quick response, I was truly on the brink.

Hi,
difficult to say without the scene...maybe you have displacement in the ceiling material with mid level different from 0.5.
Please note that Live View uses the geometry in c4d viewport, while Picture Viewer uses the final high res geometry.
ciao Beppe

No displacement, still confused, but it's working.
Thanks a lot.
