X-Particles Generator // Motion Blur Bug

Hey guys,

Its driving me nuts: Octane picks random frames of an animation in which it doesn't apply motion blur on x-particles generated objects. Weird thing: the project worked with other polygon objects generated well a couple of months ago. Unfortunatley I don't rember which version i used back then.

What I tried to fix the problem:

- Everything has an Octane Tag.
- Geometry Control: All Objects Moveable
- xpGenerator: Render Instances (all other options didn't work either)

Why I don't think its a mistkae by me: it works in the live viewer, not everytime but when I reload or jump back and forth between some frames, it renders perfectly in the live viewer.

Another problem: in 3 frames some geo didn't update at all and stays the same as in the frame before.

Are there any new options I oversee?

My system:

C4D R19.053
Octane 3.08.4
Win 10

In the live viewer it seems it loads the scene with some objects without MB and then, after 2-3 seconds, it updates to the correct version with MB.

Unfortunatley I can't share the scene at all because its under strict NDA.

Edit: exact same issue with V4.0-RC6
Edit2: R 3.08.5 - no change.

Now I have to sit in front of the Live viewer, jumping back and forth till I get motion blur on all objects and save it from there. 30 frames, 6 minutes per frame, tight deadline and an ass full of other stuff to do. Great. -.-

Not beeing able to rely on a stable version is a huge problem.

I'll have to delete this topic because you don't send a sample scene. But you can try to build cache for particles and try again.

You are joking, right? How am I supposed to send a sample scene when all in my scene is under strict NDA? Reading through other topics I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm not playing around for some daily renders, it's a relativly big paid job which has to be done on time...

Of course I cached the particles.

Edit:

// When I use "Auto detect on Geometry Control, isn't Octane suppose to go through the whole scene and calculate the MB? Thats not happening, rendering starts right away. //
ignore this, auto detect does exactly this.

I'm gonna try it this way now, hoping that some random frames are not gonna missing MB again.

edit 2:

I'm pretty disapointed with this kind of bug treating.

Do you know what you cause if you don't send any scene and post a bug report?
You're forcing me to break all my current works for you and try every endless possibility. Is It fair to me and other's jobs? You're not only people doing a job.

Sry Ahmet, but thats not fair. I really appreciate your work, you are doing a great job on the C4D Plugin.

But what do you expect me to do? Content and animation of this scene is under NDA, all I can provide is the steps I took to exclude a user error. I don't expect you to drop all your work, I was posting this report to make you either aware of this, getting help from another user who might be in the same position and found a solution or simple raise the issue for further investigation.

Thanks but as I said that's theoretically impossible for some cases. And I wish to spend my time economical. Pls send me a sample scene if your original scene is so secret :) Otherwise there's not a reason to keep this topic open. But be sure I'll keep in my mind there's a possible problem.
