HDRI turning off during render?

Hi Grimm,
Another odd one: Not really reproducible.
During a render, only a few frames in, I am periodically getting sudden darkness.
Not a completely black frame, but a frame that appears as if the HDRI has shut off? In fact, turning the HDRI power to 0 in the node editor seems to give the same effect.
The objects are visible as I have a low level mesh light. I have been able to get through the render by shutting down both the OctaneRender server and Octane Blender.
Thanks for your help,
Rick

I would like to add to this as well. I got similar issues with last and latest v4 release candidates. HDRI turns off and you have to reconnect certain nodes to have it 'reattach' again.
This happens specifically when you switches layer or if you open a previous .blend file or just randomly if you jump in and out of render-mode(more description below....)
ADDITIONALLY the world tab seems to spaz out no matter what you do in it right now. Every other frame/render has everything defaulted. If you use HDRI it turns off, and if you use daylight system/direction it 0's everything back to default on random renders/frames. It might be other things as well that are defaulting beyond the world tab, but this seems to be the 'consistent' one to spaz out.
A. Win10
B. 2x1080ti
C. 32gb
D. nvidia driver 416.34 (and tried octane using 391.35, 398.82 and 411.63)(older versions give me cuda errors 201 and 700 more often)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version v4.00 RC7
F. OctaneRender plugin version 16.2.6 RC7
G. Blender 2.79(RC7 test build)

Since my first posting on this, I am finding that for general render bugginess, I need to close out Blender and shut down the Octane render server (ORS) through Task Manager.
Restart ORS, and then Blender.
Then restart the render, and wave a rubber chicken over my head. I think you may be able to get your own rubber chicken on ebay.

T.O.S specifically says you should be covered if you own a rubber duck.... is this a temporary V4 thing?

Hi protovu and artbydile,
Thanks for your reports. I've tried but not lucky enough to reproduce it on my end.
Could you please open the debug nodegraph and take a screenshot if it happens again?
Here are the steps(say that we are under preview rendering):
- Click "Render-Show Octane NodeGraph" to open the node graph
- Check the nodegraph to see whether the environment settings are correct
- Take a screenshot about the nodegraph and the env settings
- (If applicable) Select all nodes in the graph, right click and save it as an orbx. PM me the orbx.
Cheers,
DrawFun

In latest versions it is very rare and hard to reproduce.

Not sure how the last comment helps anybody but sure, it's only a 'bug' sometimes.
I just opened the last scene I was working on as well as a couple of older ones and I was able to replicate it in each and everyone.
@Drawfun, the nodegraph has the Power of the daylight/hdri set to a none number "NaN" during the bug. It jumps back to whatever I have it set to in blender world tab when the bug goes away.
#update: Other values does this too... Just had 2 frames render with 2 different directions for the daylight system. (Obviously with unchanged settings from my end..)

Hi artbydile,
Thanks for your help!
I will keep trying to reproduce it. Could you please show me the whole topology of the node graph the next time it happens? Thanks.
Cheers,
DrawFun
