material converter - normal maps

Hello,
I need help. 3DS seems to handle normal and bump maps by the same node. When I use material converter, octane converts normal maps as greyscale images and connect them in bump node. There is a lot of detail lostness there. Can octane have a option of just leaving normal (and bump) maps as RGB images? I did search for some script out there for converting greyscale images to RGB without loosing the texture but no chance. Any script would be ok. Thank you!!

Hi Nick,
could you share a sample scene with your material (in PM if you want) before you convert it?
in 3dsMax > File > archive

Ok my fault. I thought that normal maps work directly with bump node in standard materials. Well they don't. They need normal bump node. Everything works as it should.
Paride thanks a lot, that was fast!!

Hi Nik73,
unfortunately standard materials use normal map in bmp slots.
I do not know if Octane material converter could automatically recognize bump and normal map; I will ask developers.
