Help with a UDIM workflow

Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could give me some advice please.
There is a plugin you can get from 4dpublish and it aids in bringing udims into cinema 4d to render in the octane plugin. Due to this I'm aware it can be done. Could someone please explain to me or at least link me to some information as to how I can achieve this? The plugin will cost me £100 and I only want to be able to create udims in cinema that octane can read so if there is anyway I can do this and save £100 then I want to give it a blast, if not its a lot to spend on such a feature but worth it if there is no other option.
