turn off object shadows

Hello,

New to Blender Octane.......I know this must be obvious, but I cannot find the toggle to Turn Off Object Shadows. In my Carrara Octane Plugin, this function is nested in an Octane Object Modifier.

No such Modifier in Blender, so I looked under the Object panel. While there is an Octane properties tab , it is blank for the object selected ( actually, nothing shows for any object selected).

The Octane Imager Presets ( in the "N" panel of 3D view) also offers no shadow object options.

Thank you for your help,

Rick

Is that (maybe) because you don't have the mesh selected? Seems odd that there's nothing there as the panel is extensive...

I don't know how to paste images, but you can see the option here in the manual:

https://docs.otoy.com/BlenderH/BlenderP ... erties.htm

'Shadow visibility' in the Visibility section.

Strange issue. The "Octane properties" rollout in Object data tab should have many options including the option to turn off the shadow casting.

Ahhhh..... Seems there is a decoy Octane Properties panel, and this is the one I was looking at.

With an object selected, if I look in the panel designated by the little cube, I see the blank Octane panel.

With the same object selected, if I look in the panel designated by the Triangle ( per the manual, as Whispermode kindly pointed out) I do indeed
find the desired options.

I suggest we use the blank panel to embed direct links for ordering pizza at 3 in the morning.

Thank you very much for the responses.

Rick

That might well be the most important feature request ever submitted.
