I haven't used Octane for a long time, in fact since Octane 2. It was too buggy in maya. Did Octane 3 get a good working version? I'm on windows if it changes anything... Thank you!

The new release is still not quite functional.
Immediately out of the box, opening any pre-existing scene, the ipr doesnt update even on something as simple as moving the camera around. A fresh scene allows for updating but anything referenced or imported starts to break the scene.
We've also noticed that bound geometry under several transform groups is not concatenating properly, and material assignments on the same broken geometry are not being held. the result is that the geometry renders white, and in the wrong position.

Hi Matt,
Thanks so much for testing the build. We are try to reproduce these issues, however, would it be possible to provide us a sample scene or the Maya crash report to debug here?
Please check the Animator data of the Grouped transform nodes, try to change it as Force load, the default is set to automatic.
cheers

Hey Guys,
I can absolutely send over a scene, however these are production assets so I cant post them here to a live forum. Can someone get in touch with my via email (
[email protected]?) . I can provide more info on our setup and a few scenes to help the debug process.
thanks for workin it!
