Question about Displacement

Hello,

I am a new user, I am trying to understand what I am doing wrong here.
To be specific I have two issues, first regarding .exr files, seems I can't quite have them to work on octane standalone, are they supported for displacement? if yes what is the workflow to have them working?.

The second question is regarding the quality of the displacement itself, considering of course that I could have only .tif to work so far and not .exr. seems like its really not keeping up with the details for some reasons.
All displacement maps have been exported from ZBrush.

For comparison here the first image with Arnold render and the second one is with Octane standalone and seems like especially on the horns the displacement is stretching.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks

p.s.
i am using octane 4.0

Hi,
have a look at this other discussion:

You also need to set the Mid Level at 0.5, I guess.

Thank you, Beppe for the tip, but I don't seem to find anything that justifies the total lack of displacement on an object.

Here I attach another image with my settings, which are pretty basic, .exr 32 bit from ZBrush, straight into octane, tried the 0.5 mid-level setting (even negative). but it's not fixing anything, there is any support system to understand why this behavior?
