Hi there :)

I got problem with networking render. :(

i can see the network slave in the stand alone. But i see nothing in the 3dsmax octane network. And i really dont want use the standalone for rendering...........
Before, with odlder version, that worked.

I use the pluggin v3.08_5.07
and standalone 3.06.4 (3.06.3 is recommanded but the link of release go to the 3.06.4).

Any idea to resolve the problem?

Have a good day all !

(sory for my english..)

Hi Asile,
Master and slaves must have the same SDK version;
so you should use (e.g.) Octane for 3dsMax 3.08.1 - 5.1 on your master and Octane Standalone 3.08.1 on your slaves.

thanks a lot ) !

So...it work with one of the network slaves. But i cant start the daemon slave on the others (a quick window error say something like invalid path, invalid name..)

i rebooted many times but slave doesnt want to start. There s no error on install daemon . i tried with 3.07 version, same problem...

All daemon version are good , i cleaned all before reinstall.

I had lot of difficulty to "screenshot" the windows cause it appear during 1/10 sec lol . so here 2 jpg ..

I tested again and again..... So, when i installed and reinstalled again and again, maybe 10 times, and miracle, sometimes the daemon started good.

its totaly random !.... so, i m scary about reboot the daemon computer lol, im not sure the slave will start normaly..

Hi asile,
I think you incorrectly configured daemon while installing it.
you should uninstall daemon using _uninstall_daemon.bat in Octane folder and make sure daemon is no longer in startup applications when you run windows.
Then reinstall everything giving ok all answers as default.
Did you set up with an out-of-core option?
Is bitdefender antivirus installed?
