Changes since 1.1.0.1223

Major Features
  • Upgraded to Octane 4.00 XB2.1
  • Added ORBX importing. Loading will create a proxy in Unity, importing will try to recreate a snapshot of the ORBX file in Unity. (experimental)
  • Added new lightmapping system.
General
  • Added denoise option for lightmaps.
  • Lightmapping now correctly sets its conversion mode (Linear/Gamma) and (RGBM/LINEAR).
  • Lightmapping now turns off unity auto generate lightmaps functionality.
  • Non-static (Lightmapstatic) objects are now deactivated in the octane scenegraph while baking.
  • PBR instance properties now reflect shadow visibility of meshrenderer.
  • Preview in Unity for PBR Override Material.
Fixes
  • Fixed issue where PBR Override material where Unity would crash if it was a runtime material.
  • Fixed issue where point/spot/area lights did not show up in lightmaps.
  • Fixed logarithmic sliders in UI.
  • Fixed memory leaks.
  • Fixed static batching issues with setting materials on combined mesh.
  • Removed static batch turnoff.
Things to note EDIT: This version has an issue with accessing the update server, and has been replaced with 1.1.1.1317

After the update terrains are looking a little weird. What should I change to get the previous look (on the left)?

Other users have the same issue. This is most likely a result of the changes made to the material system in Octane going to 4.0. We'll look into the issue ASAP.

Any update on this issue? Have to schedule a few tasks, so an estimation would be highly appreciated. :)

We found the cause. The fix will be part of next build.
