Hello all,

This week I have been working on a new scene. The main reason for this scene was to see the differences between Blender Internal render and Octane.
Of course Octane came up on tops but it was really nice to see the final outcomes.

I do like the detail that you placed into the render but the one thing that has me wondering about is the buildings in the back. The look of the building is very repeated as the brick and light doesn't add alot of variation to the rendering. Have you tried adding form of dirt/stain overlay to the buildings?

very nice image , very realistic ,there is no problem with the background apply some DOV and blur the building
in the background and you got a perfect shot .

@Draydin_r, I totally argree with the level of detail on the buildings surrounding the main area. I must admit I didn't put enough effort into the textures. I only worked with textures for one day and didn't really uvmap correctly as I did it more for speed then accuracy. That is the major flaw I think the image has.
@ribrahomedesign, I like your advice about adding more of a blur, I may just give that a try and post an update soon.

Has anyone had a chance to have a look at the Blender render and does anybody have any comments about the differences between the 2. Also any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

I think this looks pretty good! I agree though that the background could use some work. It's not so much the building material that looks off but perhaps the sky or smoke coming out? It just looks odd... I don't feel like those are something you would see in the city skyline, at least not where I have been in the city
