Were you able to implement this feature? Should we expect it in the 3.08 release?

My scene takes nearly 2 mins to open and this would be a HUGE time saver when I'm finalizing textures of my different objects and such during development.

Hopefully you've been able to put that in, as you thought it would be an easy add last time we spoke a month or so ago. Looking forward to final release of 3.08.

Yes, this should be easy. It was already on my features request list. I'll try to add this feature to the next build.
