Hi,

I've been using Octane C4D for quite some time both at work and at home, and have installed it probably 20 times on both Windows and Mac with no problems. Always the same process, put it in Plugins/ only use the correct c4dOctane_RXX.dylib version and update C4D to the latest version.

I recently reformatted my Mac and set everything up again with C4D R18. Installed everything like I usually do. But nothing shows up. I'm not getting the popup login window when I start C4D and I'm not seeing Octane in the menu.
I tried reformatting and still the same problem. I also tried installing R19 to see if that helps. Still nothing.

I have no clue of what is wrong, since this has never happened before. My GPUs are working fine, and Octane should show up regardless.

Any clues?

Clues are on install notes. Have you read?

Yeah, it says "-Cuda 8.0 driver for OSX." which isn't true. It has to be a recent version of the 8-series or 9.

So its fixed now, sorry for the post.

as reported in the readme.txt, for a correct installation, firstly you need to update your Maxon C4D to the latest build, (R16.050, R17.053, R18.057, R19.024), or the plugin will not be correctly loaded.
