Hi Everybody!

I started using Octane today and I wanted to create a simple scene: A Lime-shapped christmas ball made of glass.

I created the christmas ball with a spline and a Lathe Object. So far, so good.

When I use a non transparent material, everything looks fine.

But if I use any glass material (or transparent material) I got something like this. There is a kind of "inner core" that has the material on it and the outer shell is transparent...

Anyone has an idea what I am doing wrong?

note that in Octane, the normal directions of the polygons has a great importance, especially with specular material.
Please, try to reverse the normals of the Lathe object.
You can also change the direction of the splines to fix it.
Note that, if the mesh does not have thickness, the whole ball will be considered full of glass, acting like a big magnifier lens.
So you need to use a cloth nurbs to add a bit of thikness to the mesh.
