Hi Paul.
It is me again. :-) With another fur problem.
In modo there is a option to have diffrent types of fur from one surface. Each layer (group) of fur can have its own shader and bitmap.
But in Octane ... they have diffrent size and lenght etc ... but they share the same shader, Is thre a way that we can have it fixed?
Modo layered fur setup

Octane layered fur

Modo layered fur

Hi. In this case the Render Cache is returning ALL fur geometry with a material tag set to "layered fur", so it is not splitting the geometry into the two different groups. So this is a Render Cache issue, which you will need to report to Foundry if you want them to address this problem. The workaround would be to have each Fur Material on it's on Sphere item.
