Baking height map from texture?

Ok, so I'm probably too dumb to understand the manual, but can someone please share with me how exactly to bake a height map from a plane with a material with displacement on top in Octane?

Hi Pownie,
currently you cannot bake the displacement with Material passes, but only the Tangent Normal pass.
You need to use an orthographic camera to obtain a Z-depth pass useful for displacement.

sorry, my fault, I have not noticed that was from one of our internal discussion.
Anyway, here is a cople of example textures obtained with the Zdepth pass and annorthographic camera, with just a little correction of levels in PS:
