I am having this problem again and again, my internet speed here is fast but when connecting to other countries the government have this thing called "The Great Firewall of China" which filters and checks all connection outside the country thus my dblive materials while loading on 3dsmax material slots get disconnected.... it chrashes 3dsmax.
Was hoping Otoy fix this for max not to crash when dblive loading got disconnected. maybe a dialog box warning... "dblive disconnected - try loading materials later"

It's my first time I hear a user from China reporting this.

I have similar issues with DBLive, here in China. It only works with the VPN on, and if there is ever a reset in connection, or a slow down, it crashes Max..
