Adaptive Sampling?

Hey guys,

Please forgive what may be a really stupid question, but does 3.06 actually have adaptive sampling or not? I have read a lot of success stories of it cutting render times in half, but most of these are coming from people who tested the feature pre-release. Did the feature actually make it into 3.06? I have looked everywhere for the option to turn it on or settings like noise threshold, adaptive strength, min. samples, etc., but can't find this stuff anywhere. I think I must be missing something though, because I doubt there would be a guide like https://inlifethrill.com/adaptive-sampling-octane-render/ if it never made it out of beta. Maybe this feature is only in the standalone?

Again, I'm sorry for this really dumb question.

Hi Ben,
please, update to v3.06.2:

or even better, to the new 3.07-R2:

You can find the Adaptive Sampling settings in the Kernel panel for both Direct Light and Path Tracing kernels, PMC does not have this option.

Thanks for the expedient reply, Beppe. I will try those builds.

EDIT: Installed the latest version of Octane C4D Plugin and standalone. Got the adaptive sampler working and it's a god send!
