Testing R19 and Version 3.07-R1 tonight...

Not sure if this was ever fixed, but I can still not write frames to disc using R19 (R18 does write frames to disc).

There is something to note, when I initialize 'Octane Renderer' from the render settings drop down list, C4D pauses for about 10 seconds (allows no interaction with the UI) and then releases and allows me to work (this does not happen in R18 when I choose Octane in the render settings). Not sure if this helps, but thought I would mention it.

AFAIK the waiting period is simply the time the plugin needs to activate. I got this in R18 and R19.

Has Maxon given any information to you on when they might fix this problem?

Important warning about R19 build:
Saving of passes functionality in Octane RenderSettings is broken due a bug on R19 SDK. So you can try to use C4D's save for multi-pass image until we get fix/update from MAXON.

It's fixed for 19.040 as i could tested. But i don't think it's released yet to public.

I just asked MAXON support about it, they can't say for sure but are estimating a release of 19.040 in spring 2018.

Wow. Thanks for the update @ferdikubin. That is an unfortunate and surprising bit of news. Sure would like to know why Maxon can't push that sooner.

C4D 19.053 out today and STILL not writing frames to disc...

Honestly, does anyone know when R19 will be usable with Octane. This is getting ridiculous.
