Problems (Bugs ?) with Xrefs

Hi,
I have some problems (bugs ?) with the xrefs.
I have to create a shelving system for a customer (in cosmetology).
In it, there will be products which will be modified during the year (All of the textures were made with OctaneRender).
These products are xrefs.
There are no problems with xrefs at the beginning.
A while later, when you try to open the file (shelving system +xrefs), the xrefs are not updated (some parts or some textures are missing).
If I want to upate the xrefs, I cant access the reload button...
I often have to re-import the xrefs to solve the problem, see duplicate the xrefs so that the "reload" button is accessible ...
I have had this problem with the Releases 16, 17 & 18... This had made things difficult.
Is there anything I can do about it ?
Thanks for your help ;)

Why don't you send some samples to figure that better? I don't understand what we talk exactly!

Please, please please please please!!! submit this as a bug to the c4d team. I and many others have experienced this issue. I'm 99% certain it has nothing to do with Octane, and everything to do with Maxon's implementation of xrefs.

Unfortunatly, not able to share scene or file (confidential project)...
Simply : once file with xrefs created, textures (octane) do not update correctly...
Not able to know if problems comes from octane bug, or maxon bug...
Wondering if anyone here had this case, or heard about it ;)

I never had much "luck" with Xrefs, therefore I am avoiding this crap. Also I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with Octane.
