Octane Unity materials workflow question

Hi,

I see that while using octane in unity, the materials needs to be assigned within unity. Is it possible to assign the materials in Octane instead?

I see that we can open the Octane standalone from within the Unity PBR window. Is it possible to assign materials using this standalone interface and have the Unity model updated?

Thanks,

The information processing is single direction (Unity → Octane), there is currently no way to assign materials in Octane and have it update in Unity.
It is something we are thinking of adding in the future, but it isn't high on our priority list at the moment. This is subject to change with regards to user demand ;)

Hi,

Thanks for you response. When I set the material shader to Octane> PBR in Unity. It says saving currently not allowed. When do you plan to allow this.

Thanks,

This is already added in our internal builds. We are planning on releasing a new build very soon.
