I get this error when loading Octane in Unity:

Auth check failed: User is not logged in or user status invalid.. Please check your Unity account status.
UnityEngine.Debug:LogWarning(Object)
OctaneUnity.EULA:Check(AcceptedEULA)
OctaneUnity.PluginController:Init()
OctaneUnity.PreferenceWindow:OnGUI()
UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent(Int32, IntPtr)

I am logged in with both Unity and Otoy (forum and main site).

It used to work fine but from one day to the other it didn't. My subscription is still active.

Re-installing octance for Unity did not make any difference.

The part of the error message we get from unity is this: "User is not logged in or user status invalid.."

Are you sure you are logged-in on the Unity Editor application?

Thanks, that must have been the issue. For some reason Unity wasn't logging itself in.

But now I get a different error message:

Octane license (UNITY) activation result: Plugin license invalid
This Bridge Plugin Account (00001105) has expired, please check that your subscription is active.

Looking at my subscription page, I see that the OctaneVR licenses are paid up to next month, but the OctaneVR Unity license is not updated and the "paid up to" field has expired. How is that possible?

We are looking into your license issues.
Did you get a temporary UnityVR license for OctaneUnity from us directly?
Are you using Tier 1?

In the meantime you could try to log in with a different unity account. (We create a free account for each new unity account)
Or, since you say you have OctaneVR, you could try to switch to Tier 2 via settings -> Version Control. (note that cant be loaded to switch tiers)

I purchased an OctaneVR 3ds Max license from the Otoy webpage. I just need the OctaneVR Unity license but that cannot be purchased separately.
I am using Tier 1.

Where do I find the account username and password which was created automatically by Otoy?

I have a license for the OctaneVR standalone application but I never used that. It came with the OctaneVR 3dsMax license. Anyway, I have downloaded and installed OctaneVR but there is no menu called Settings->Version control. Only File - Edit - Script - Module - Cloud - Windows - Help. There is File->Preferences, but that doesn't have a menu called Version Control.

I will reply to the support ticket in the mail too.
