View Panel Alpha Visibility

I'm working on a project where I have a bunch of 2d assets on cards. They each have an alpha in the opacity channel to cut out the unwanted bits, I'd like to work in the c4d view panel, but the octane shaders don't seem to punch out the alpha until I load the scene into the live viewer. My renders look fine, but it's hard to make animation changes now that I've converted all the materials to octane. This would definitely be a quality of life improvement if I can get this figured out. Thanks!
