Hi guys,
Is there any quick way to get turbulence or noise textures inside octane volume shader without using simulation?
So we could fake the turbulence in fog. Please see attached example in vray and C4d
Thanks
J

Hi Jim99,
I think C4D uses particles to control turbulence texture node.
I tried to ask developers about this.

Hi paride4331,
Thanks for your reply. I have seen a demo for octane c4d, the noise for fog just by couple clicks super fast to use..also their IES light works with volume too.
It will be super useful if we had something like quick noise for fog like in Vray and c4d version... We dont have the luxury time to do simulation for every project...
Octane is great and fast but I really wish 3dsmax version could level up to c4d one. Sometimes lack of simple functions like this one makes people want start using Vray again especially they improved the RT renderer.
Cheers
J

Yes really this is a super important feature having a object called : fog!
Like this you can add specifig fog in specific area ! Simulating big vdb each time a want a little noisy fog is boring ! Please add this feature !!!!
