Hello Octane brothers and sisters.
This is a really lame question, because it's something that is so easy and basic to do in cinema, but i just can't figure it out in octane. I'm talking about making an infinite floor.
Thanks.

This artist developed a tool to get the seamless floor effect that you are looking for, hope that helps!

Is this really the only way to get a seamless floor in Octane? It seems like such a common need. No composite option to use the floor or background objects native to C4d?

Well I suppose you can create a floor and then an Enviroment and set it to visible only in the background and then have both of this share the same color.

The problem is i dont want to get into a work flow where im dependent on someone outside of OTOY. It gets problematic when OTOY makes updates and then i have to hope that the user created plugin still works. If not then my workflow breaksdown. This is a problem for me.
Terryvfx, i tried that but the lighting affects the floor so it doesnt blend into the environment color very well.

This is not a plugin it's just a mere rig that you can just take apart and see what's inside then learn it and replicate it for yourself.

I see. Thanks for pointing that out. I actually installed then uninstalled because it was causing some crashes. I'll reinstall it and try to understand what it takes to make an infinite floor in Octane. Hopefully it doesn't require xpresso or anything too techy as I'm more of an artist than a programmer. Thanks again for the support, Terryvfx.
